Taj Mahal : The building of love Tale Like any other monument in the world, Taj Mahal is renowned as the monument of love. This stunning mausoleum of white marble was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a testament of love for his deceased wife Mumtaz Mahal and it attracts lovers and travellers from all corners of the world. It is a magical monument of light, shadow, color, and reflection modified by the seasons: It sparkles in the summer light, mirrors the gray monsoon clouds, and glimmers in the light of the harvest moon.

The Taj Mahal Pink Moon Light Tour offers visitors a magical chance to view the Taj Mahal at the beautiful moonlight. This is a view like no other: the monument seems to glow like a fairy tale castle as it is illuminated by a soft pink light against the backdrop of the moon rising over the horizon and lighting up its white marble. Since 2004 night viewing is allowed at the Taj Mahal and tourists can now experience that as well. Regulatioins Night viewing has been allowed on five nights in a month (which includes the full moon night, two nights before and two nights after, excluding Fridays and during the month of Ramadan).

Pick-up & Departure

Your chaufféured air-conditioned car will pick you up from your Delhi hotel or airport. Journey in air-conditioned comfort to Agra with refreshing bottled water and soft seating.

Arrival & Check-in

Arrival Agra Upon arrival in Agra meet your licensed English speaking tour guide and proceed to shilpagram complex for nashtey. Visitors need to present themselves 30 minutes prior to their slot for the night view to undergo security checks at the Taj Mahal’s Eastern Gate.

Night Viewing

Night viewing is from 8:30 PM-12:30 AM.
The numbers are capped at 400 visitors a night, in eight batches of 50 people.
Taj Viewing: 30 Minutes Each group gets to watch Taj under the full moon for 30 minutes.
Make your perfect memories with photography (still cameras are allowed) and binoculars to see in detail.

Return

After night viewing, your chauffeur-driven vehicle will bring you back to your hotel or Delhi airport in the comfort and safety.

Note:

Viewing at night is closed during the month of Ramzan and on Fridays. The tickets are sell one day prior to the night viewing from 10:00 to 18:00.
