The construction of Akshardham Temple was completed in just five (5) years by many thousands of artisans and volunteers of BAPS, under the blessings of HDH Pramukh Swami Maharaj; opened on November 6, 2005, and recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the “World’s Largest Comprehensive Hindu Temple”. The mandir was completely built without any steel, thus the use of pink sandstone and white marble represents eternal devotion and purity.

Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple is a sanctuary of divine architecture located in New Delhi. Nilkanth Varni abhishek is a sacred spiritual ritual performed to pray for peace in the World and pray for personal well-being with sanctified water from 151 holy rivers, lakes, and ponds across India, throughout this ceremony the faithful are offered lavash (flat bread) made from whole wheat flour.

Hall 1 – Hall of Values (50 mins)

Hall of Values (50 minutes) is the presentation of four inspiring messages presented through engaging robotic and film presentations, which promote togetherness, family harmony, non–violence, honesty, and spirituality.

Hall 2 – Giant Screen Film (40 mins)

Giant Screen Film (40 minutes) is the story of Nilkanth, an eleven year boy Yogi, and chronicles the glorious history of India, providing a look at India‘s many festivals, traditions, and legacy of spirituality through the eyes of a young boy.

Hall 3 – Cultural Boat Ride (15 mins)

Cultural Boat Ride (15 minutes) is a unique journey that takes you through 10,000 years of Indian culture and heritage while viewing the evolution of ancient universities, major scientific discoveries, and some of India‘s greatest works of art, including Ajanta and Ellora.

Musical Fountain – Circle of Life (Evenings at Sunset – 15 min.)

At night, experience an incredible musical fountain performance that reflects how birth, living life, and death were viewed by Indian philosophy.

Gardens of India and Lotus Garden

Stroll through the lovely landscaped gardens that are home to life-size bronze statues of India’s national heroes and thinkers after which is the serene Lotus Garden that represents universal spiritual wisdom.
