After nearly a decade of careful design and construction, this architectural gem was officially opened on Tuesday, 1st June 1976, by Shri Hari Dev Joshi, the then Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

As designed by architect Shri W. M. Namjoshi Raj Mandir Cinema is based on the Art Moderne style, that is also known as Streamline Modern or Late Art Deco style.
