Day 1: Delhi to Leh Arrival
Take an early morning flight to Leh, the capital of Ladakh, located at an altitude of
11,800 feet. When you land at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, transportation to
your hotel will be quickly arranged. Go to your room and spend the day resting and
acclimatizing to the low barometric pressure, which is necessary to acclimatize to
Ladakh's altitude. In the late afternoon, you will visit the Shanti Stupa, an
authentic Buddhist architectural gem. Take advantage of the evening to explore the
local markets. Overnight at a hotel in Leh
Day 2: Leh, Spituk, Pather Sahib and Leh
After a leisurely breakfast, the group departs for Spituk. We will cover Spituk
Monastery, the famous Magnetic Hill, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers
near Nimoo, and a visit to Pather Sahib, an important Sikh pilgrimage site.
Day 3: Pangong Tso Lake Sightseeing (Leh)
Start with a full-day tour of Pangong Tso Lake, located 135 km from Leh. Pangong Tso
Lake is nearly 140 km long and 3 to 5 km wide. More than half of the lake area
belongs to Tibetan territory. Since you will return to Leh in the evening, you can
browse the local markets in Leh to look for bargains. Overnight at a hotel in Leh
Day 4: Explore Khardung La Pass (Leh)
The morning of day four begins with a visit to Khardung La Pass at 18,360 feet, which
is not surprisingly the highest motorable pass in the world. Overnight at a hotel in

Day 5: Monasteries and Palaces
Today is a day for cultural immersion in and around Leh. The tour will include a
visit to Thiskey Gompa, one of the most spectacular monasteries in Ladakh. We will
also visit the nearby Shey Palace. Then we will head to Hemis, where one of the most
famous festivals in Ladakh is held. After visiting the monasteries, we will go to
the Stok Palace Museum, which displays royal objects and accessories.
Day 6: Depart from Leh
Early morning takes you to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport on time to board your
flight to your destination.
