One of the most important factors that attract tourists from all over the world to Kerala are its beaches and backwaters. Kerala's backwaters have estuaries, captivating waterways, and pristine lakes that form a wonderful network along the state's coastline. Tourists coming to Kerala are amazed by the mesmerizing beauty of its backwaters and beaches that sparkle like diamonds on the neck of the state.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cochin

On arrival at Cochin airport, meet our representative and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Cochin town to visit the Dutch palace (built by the Portuguese), the Jewish town, the 1568 synagogue, and the spice market, where the air is filled with the smell of spicy spices. Concentration, Saint-François Church, and Chinese Fishing Nets The evening hosts a performance of Kerala's most popular classical dance. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Cochin – Alleppey

Today in the morning, we will travel to Allepey. On arrival in Alleppey, check in at the houseboat and enjoy the journey as you stay in your pre-booked houseboat. Alleppy, or Alappuzha, is categorized as the Venice of the East. Alappuzha means the land between the sea and a network of rivers falling into it. The place recalls a sense of romance and beauty. This place has a golden strip of land woven with rivers, lakes, lagoons, and canals. Alappuzha has a lighthouse where one can enjoy the beautiful view of the Alleppey coast from the lighthouse. The white-sand beach is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the sea and sun. It is also home to Kuttanad, the granary of Kerala, one of the few interesting places in the world where agriculture is practiced below sea level.

In the afternoon, we will explore Vembanad Lake, a popular picnic spot and rapidly growing backwater that offers boating and fishing. Further, we will continue our explorations by boat along winding backwaters, witnessing the life of the people of Kerala and its entire color. As the sun goes down, we will be entertained by the boatmen singing traditional songs. Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to talk to and interact with the local families, learn about their lives on the islands, and eat traditional local cuisine in their homes. An overnight stay in the houseboat.

Day 3: Alleppey - Thekkady - Periyar

After breakfast, depart for Thekkady or Periyar. Arrive in Thekkady and check in at the hotel. You can opt for an exciting boat ride along Periyar Lake in the evening.Enjoy watching various species of birds and animals, such as tigers, elephants, wild boars, deer, and more, at Periyar/Thekkady National Park. You can also visit a few tribal villages around Periyar and witness fascinating activities like tribal collecting honey from dangerous hill bees. Evening transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Thekkady - Varkala

Today we will start the day a little early in the morning and head towards Varkala. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Rest, then visit Varkela, a temple town also famous for its scenery. Nestled in the southern Indian state of Kerala, it is famous for its mineral springs and coastal beaches. A trip to Kerala would not be complete without a stop at the beautiful beaches of Varkala. The silvery stretches of sand along the Arabian Sea offer a placid destination for beach lovers. The sunset at Varakala Beach is truly overwhelming, with the sun sinking into the sky just like a ball of molten gold. In the evening, spend some time traveling in the peaceful gardens of an ashram devoted to the most eminent spiritual and social reformer in Kerala. Also, visit the mystical Janardhana Swamy Temple or just head to the beach to relax and watch the Arabian Sea. Later, return to the hotel to enjoy a delicious meal and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Varkala Sightseeing

Enjoy another morning of cleaning in Varkala. In this picturesque city, a group of religious pilgrims met the ancient sage Narada and confessed their sins. Narada launched Valkaram and landed near the coast. Visit the old Janardhana temple. Most hotels and restaurants are located on the cliffs. Additionally, visit the Janardhana Temple, the 924-foot-long Varkala Tunnel, and the Sivagiri Maut, just 3 km from Kapil Lake, which connects you to the magnificent world of the hinterlands of Kerala. You can also ride elephants on the village streets. Afterwards, return to the hotel for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 6: Varkala - Cochin Departure

Enjoy delicious breakfast at the hotel and then drive to Cochin Airport. On arrival at cochin, our driver will drop you at airport to connect flight for your onward destination
